ALL students who register in MAT 16A will be required to take the Math Placement Exam. This means we will no longer accept SAT-M or AP scores. For MAT 16A you are required to take the Math Placement Exam regardless if you passed MAT 12 (or an equivalent course elsewhere). In other words, remember this: everyone is taking the exam. For more info click here .Homework, Exams
There will be weekly homework and in class quizzes. Homework will not be collected but it is STRONGLY recommended to solve the problems by your own. Each Friday at the beginning or towards end of the lecture you will have in class quiz. I will pick up one or two problems randomly from the homework problem set and ask you to solve the problem in class (10-15 mins). Sometimes the quiz problem may not be exactly same as the homework problems but it will be similar to one of those problems.
There will be one final exam.
Note, there are NO MAKEUP EXAMS!
