• July 3: On Monday, we are going to talk about chain rule. Since it is the most important rule of differentiation, we will spend a whole lecture on it. But before that you have to completely understand the other six rules (constant, power, constant multiple, sum difference, product, and quotient rule). So I STRONGLY recommend you to do ALL homework problems + as many extra problems as you can.
  • July 1: As many of you requested me to give the quiz 2 on Wednesday, I am going to give the quiz 2 on Wednesday (July 3) instead of Friday (July 5). I will ask two questions from the last two homework sets.
  • June 24:
    • Note that regular lecture lengths are 50 mins, but summer session lectures are 100 mins in length. So we are going to learn almost double of the material that we learn in regular quarters. To keep yourself up-to-date, try to do homework before the next lecture.
    • Correction in last example: Inverse of $f(x)=x^{3}+1$ is $f^{-1}(x)=(x-1)^{1/3}$ instead of $(1-x)^{1/3}$.
  • June 23: If you think that you will not be able to take a quiz, please let me know in advance.
